How to gently switch to a new milk?

The transition from one formula to another should be gradual to give your baby's digestive system enough time to adjust. Every baby is unique, but we generally recommend one of two approaches:

1. Gradual transition (bottle by bottle method)

This method involves replacing one portion of the original milk with new milk every day.

  • Day 1: 1 dose of new milk (e.g. in the morning), the rest of the day the original milk.

  • Day 2: 2 servings of new milk, the rest of the day old milk.

  • Day 3: Continue this until you have fully switched to the new milk.

2. Mixing measuring cups

If your baby has a more sensitive tummy, you can mix measuring cups of both milks in one bottle (if they have the same preparation method).

  • First, you replace one scoop of the original powder with one scoop of the new milk in each bottle.

  • After two days, increase the ratio in favor of the new milk until you completely replace the old one.

Our tip: During the transition, you may notice a slight change in the consistency or color of your baby's stool. This is normal and usually settles down within a few days.

We recommend that you first consult your pediatrician before switching to another milk and mixing method.
